Read the journal article "Examining the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education by Valarie Mercilliott Hewett and take text marking notes on the article (click here for the article)
Go to the blog site and take text marking notes about setting up a Reggio Provocation (click here for the blog)
Be ready to share and discuss both readings using your notes.
Research about the pedagogical method/approach you chose; take Cornell notes from at least 3 valid and reliable sources.
Prepare a one page summary with actual photos of your pedagogical method/approach. The one page summary should have photos, words and explanations. (click here for a sample)

Pick another pedagogy philosophy, research and take Cornell Notes (choices include Maria Montessori method, Waldorf method, John Dewey Method, etc.)
You need to be able to explain the pedagogy philosophy you chose in detail and be able to use it when teaching a lesson.
Curriculum Lesson Plan Evaluation Reflection
Read the directions on the rubric.
Evaluate yourself using both the written area and scoring rubric. Use a lot of CD and CM in your evaluation.
Write a reflectin paper about the experience, use the prompt.
The rubric is in Google Classroom and needs to be turned in through Google Classroom.
Curriculum Assignment
Create a flow chart of the curriculum area they were assigned to help with lesson planning for the lesson they will lead with the class.
Work with teammate(s) to finish and be ready to teach curriculum area mini lesson.
Homework
Read Ch. 10 "What is Curriculum" and take Cornell Notes - You will be doing the same in class processing protocol we did for Ch. 17 (sticky note discussion).
Read the Curriculum Area Section you were assigned and take Cornell Notes - remember you will work with your team to create a lesson teaching the class about this curriculum area (we will work on the lesson next class).
Fill out/elaborate on the Parent Conference Planning Form (click here)
Rough Draft Resume and Supplemental Questions -
Using one of the templates in Google Classroom or a Word template of your choice, write a professional resume and reference page using the criteria discussed in class. Print your resume and reference page.
Look at your calendar/planner and schedule out the time you will work on and gather evidence for the profile.
Type up your profile in a Google Document using proper business writing format as shown in class.
When profile is complete upload the document to the Google Classroom Profile assignment section. Be sure to upload and and all electronic versions of your evidence for your profile if you didn't insert it into the assignment itself.

Day 1 Period 1 - Finish evaluating Zuri's observation and then move onto number 2.
Take a 5 minute objective anecdotal observation of the child you have been assigned.
Take your rough draft observation and put it into complete sentences. Use the rubric and assess what you have written.
Go to Google Classroom, follow this link (click here) to sign into Google classroom. Remember you MUST sign in using your school email/login.
In Google Classroom find the "Observation Assignment #1" and type up your observation in the correct format.Submit your observation through Google Classroom.
Print a copy of your observation and be ready to do peer reviews in next class.

Introductions September 6-13 We played the "Skittle Game" to introduce ourselves to our table mates and to the rest of the class. We did the Scavenger Hunt to find where materials are stored in the preschool class room. We completed the "hand tracing" which, along with a picture, describes us. We will introduce ourselves to the class with this project.
