Child Development 2
This course is open to 9, 10, 11, & 12th grade students and is a part of the Early Childhood Education Pathway. The primary goal of this course is for students to understand and analyze the development preschool children through age 8. This course will include the study of the developmental domains, principles of development, developmental theories, play, parenting, and curriculum development. This course, along with Child Development 1, can be taken during the 9th and 10th grade years. An 11th grade student may apply to take Child Development 3 and 4 and to work in the Little Preschool as a "teacher" of the children ages 3 1/2 years old through 5 years old.
